He contends that ready-made solutions such as iD offer buyers an affordable and manageable alternative to ‘home-made, bolt on solutions’ – taking the headache out of building your own bespoke intranet.

He had this to say about iD:

Australian Intranet DASHBOARD is an off-the-shelf solution which allows the customer to design and tailor a comprehensive, fully fledged intranet using mainly drag and drop widgets and wizards. Shell specifically deployed Intranet Dashboard as a part of a strategy to reduce the number of applications they have.

Jetstar featured in HR Monthly

This article appeared in HR Monthly Magazine in May, and discusses how our client Jetstar used their iD intranet to connect and engage with their hugely disparate workforce. For full details on the challenges Jetstar faced and exactly how they solved them, see our Case Studies Page.

‘Come together’ – Intranets are re-emerging as a way to connect dislocated employees

With employees in constant movement all over the world, Jetstar is an ideal example of an organization looking to connect dislocated personnel.  In late 2007, Jetstar decided it needed an adequate intranet system to keep its staff connected and engaged. “We had simply grown up as a business and we were starting to experience limitations in being able to communicate what we wanted, when we wanted,” says Jeff Martin, IT project manager for Jetstar.

Ware in the World

Australian software companies are punching above their weight when it comes to exporting the programs used to run a digital world.

Exports from the software industry are as broad as the sea of binary behind the programs being sold. Intranet DASHBOARD officially confirmed ‘Cool’

Like we didn’t already know…still, it’s nice to hear it. We jest – Intranet DASHBOARD (iD) has been named ‘Highly Commended’ in Anthill’s 2009 Cool Company Awards, making us one of Anthill’s 50 Coolest Companies for 2009.

“It was a very challenging task picking our Top 50 from an exceptionally high quality field, and Intranet DASHBOARD should be very pleased with its success,” said James Tuckerman, Editor-In-Chief, Anthill Magazine. “The Cool Company Awards attracted over 350 nominations from some very cool companies from all across Australia.”

The Anthill Cool Company Awards were launched in 2006, as a way to acknowledge and celebrate Australian companies that are doing things differently to bring about positive change.

The national awards were held at a Cocktail Ceremony at the spectacular Melbourne Recital Centre on Thursday 26th November 2009, where category winners and the ‘Coolest Company Award’ were announced. Please find the full list of award winners and finalists attached.
